But I’d watch the hell out of this:

Never seen it, never seen any marvel movie.
still happy

When GOT came out my children were really young, so it was a hard transition from Thomas the tank engine to something as violent as GOT.

same here

When my son was less than a year, I’d spend a lot of time sitting in a rocking chair with him sleeping, so I started watching Breaking Bad on my phone with subtitles. Weird, I know.

Also: having never see g.o.t. this is still funny

I have seen every episode and every marvel movie. Still happy. Isn’t it great that we can all choose to do as we please and what makes us happy?

I remember those years, when sleep was optional. I don’t know how I survived.

I love Brian Cranston as an actor, but man I could not stand breaking bad. I watched all of it, hoping it would grow on me, but I just didn’t like it.

I feel like I kinda have that experience ? When the pupper was new (8 weeks) and really couldn’t be left alone even for a second, I just watched random videos on my phone rather than my nice PC or TV.
I imagine with a baby it is way worse

i’ve never seen GOT and don’t plan on it tbh

Never watched an episode of GoT. It's probably quite good based on the fanfare, but don't have enough interest to even really want to give it a viewing.

I could
n’
t be bothered with GoT - except that my S

aw gave me the first book at E

Same here, I haven’t even watched Break ing Bad

The kids occasionally watch anime and as young teenagers observing them get used to things like random snippets of fanservice was the most awkward part.

Me neither. I rarely watch shows that are newer than the 1990's or 2000's. I have no idea why. I never go to the movies either.

Before last season began, wife wanted to rewatch it.. and hopefully get me into it. Well she accomplished half the task. I watched a little for boobies and good battles. Everything else was meh.

I watched the first 2.5 seasons and stopped because it was so depressing. Recently I folded and caught up and honestly, I am regretting it. Without a doubt, the most depressing show I ever watched and other than Joffrey dying, it never really brought any joy to me.
I need some Big Bang Theory or Top Gear in my life now...

I have seen every marvel movie, more than once.

I read all the books years ago and really enjoyed them.

During the first season, a friend of mine tried to convince me to watch Game of Thrones. This was the conversation:
Friend: Game of Thrones is amazing! You should totally watch it! It’s like Sci Fi and Fantasy combined!
Me: So two genres that I don’t care for, combined ... why again should I watch this show?
Friend: Well, it has lots of bewbies and sex too!
Me: I have the internet.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 12:18 |

This could have eased the transition.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 12:18 |

It’s polarizing. My wife hates it, I loved it.

If it weren’t for The Hound, I would have stuck an arrow in my eye by now.

Never seen it. I just find it hard to make time to follow a series on TV these days.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 12:38 |

I haven’t seen any. I usually wait for a series to end before I start watching. It would be annoying to wait for new episodes. Even worse would be
to start some series that has a crappy ending or not an
ending at all.
I have to admit that
I haven
’t had
time to watch TV much in any case. W
orking with cars is much more important.

No

I binged the first few seasons after ignoring it for 3 years. I really enjoyed it and kept watching. I had a friend ask me what I thought, and I said “it’s quite good. If you’re interested, go ahead and watch.”
So she and her husband watched 2 episodes. I got an angry message a day later because it had boobs in it and there was no way she was going to let her husband see someone else’s boobs.
We’re not really friends anymore.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 12:44 |

Why are boobs so offensive these days? I don’t get it. Watch some R rate movies from the 70's and 80's. Boobs everywhere.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 12:45 |

I have no idea.

I did not enjoy Mad Men at all. And frankly, without that redheaded lady, I struggle to believe the show would have been nearly as popular.
I did watch most of Sons of Anarchy, until white supremacists (spoiler) raped Kay Segal’s character. Plot was getting more and more absurd and the use of sexual violence for views ehhhhhhhhhhhhh can’t do it.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 12:48 |

It’s easier with streaming. We just watch one episode after another and pretty soon are done.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 12:59 |

You are a smart man. I watched the first 4 seasons? and stopped. Now I just let my friends tell me what happened.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 12:59 |

That’s how I watched the Marv el Netflix shows. But binge watching for me takes on an addictive aspect that I don’t like about myself.
My girls are watching Criminal Minds at the rate of about one a night. Thats 14 seasons. Thats a pretty big commitment.

Russian Doll. Loving it.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 13:08 |

Had to google that. I’ve seen the trailer. It’s the old Groundhog Day plot device, but I’d watch it just for this actress. I bet she makes it fresh and entertaining.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 13:18 |
|
Same here...I kind of want to watch it after it’s done, but at the same time the geekery just feels too strong with this. I can do 2-3 hours of LOTR, no problem. But GoT just feels like way too much investment.
Breaking Bad was the only one I truly enjoyed all the way through.
LOST almost ruined TV for me, forever. I had tons of free time and no kids back then, yet I was still pissed that they wasted my time.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 13:18 |

She really makes it. New York City culture is also a plus. It’s better than ground hog day tho because it’s so much darker.
![]() 05/14/2019 at 13:19 |

I like that a lot of newer series are nice and short — 6-10 episodes. Russian Doll was really good.
I just finished Dead to Me with Christina Applegate...pretty fantastic. Probably my favorite Netflix original, along with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It’s like if the Coen Brothers were the Coen Sisters and wrote a TV script.
That sounded really sexist. But probably accurate.

Talk about wasting your time, my vote goes to Chr is Carter on that one. the X-files was this multiyear edge party that ended up a ruined orgasm. No, not even that. The movies felt like a consolation prize that didn't even satisfy. Honestly, we gave up before the end, and I don't even know what happened the last couple of seasons.

She has always liked to my like if NYC were a person, even back in American Pie. It fits.
